About the Logo
Why Iron Rock?
(1) It sounds epic
(2) It is a play on "iron rod," a symbol from a sacred text of my faith tradition called the Book of Mormon. In the book, the rod of iron represents "the word of God." Like the Word (uppercase), I hope my words (lowercase) will inspire people and bring them closer to God.
What's special about the logo?
(1) The circle is a meaningful symbol in many cultures and religions. It can represent completeness and heaven. In my Zenitha series, the circle is associated with the Luminant Order.
(2) The mountain is a symbol of strength and protection---and is also a sacred symbol in various cultures, as the place we ascend to draw close to heaven. In my Zenitha series, there are two mountains that play significant roles: Mount Terramor (featuring the Bastion of Memory) and the Cosmic Mountain.
(4) The block letters on a mountain are an allusion to my home state, Utah, where the hills above towns often feature a block letter for that town (the most famous being the "Y" above BYU, my alma mater).
